
Board of Public Works and Safety
Goshen’s Board of Public Works & Safety ensures the city runs efficiently. The Board manages contracts, bids, street closures, and personnel matters. The Board of Public Works and Safety also controls the City’s stormwater facilities and the City’s municipally owned water and sewer utilities.
The Mayor and four appointed members make thoughtful decisions benefiting residents, businesses, and the entire community.

When and where does the Board of Works meet?
Meetings occur most Thursdays at 4 p.m. inside Goshen’s Police & Courts building, at 111 E. Jefferson Street. Community members are encouraged to attend. Meetings are also recorded and live streamed.
How to add an item to the agenda
To include an item on the Board of Works agenda, The members of the public are asked to contact Goshen’s Clerk-Treasurer’s Office at via email at clerktreasurer@goshencity.com or by phone at 574-533-8625. The deadline for submitting agenda items is 5 p.m. Monday ahead of that Thursday’s meeting. The public is also invited to speak during privilege of the floor.
